NACK
Hello,

I just received my shiny new Serializer.  I went to test it out on my Windows Vista 64 bit machine with a terminal emulation program and had some troubling results.  I seem to only be able to issue one command before I get NACK as the only response.  Here is an example run:

><SI><Null>Serializer, firmware v1.4.2<CR><LF>
Copyright 2006-2007, RoboticsConnection.com<CR><LF>
>fw
<CR><LF>
1.4.2<CR><LF>
>fw
<CR><LF>
NACK<CR><LF>
>

The second time I issued a request for the firmware revision I got a NACK.  Any other input will also result in a NACK.  If I cycle power, it will boot properly and I can input another command, e.g. read the voltage:

>_<Null>Serializer, firmware v1.4.2<CR><LF>
Copyright 2006-2007, RoboticsConnection.com<CR><LF>
>sensor 5
<CR><LF>
569 <CR><LF>
>sensor 5
<CR><LF>
NACK<CR><LF>
>

Again, I get a NACK if I query the second time.  Any suggestions?  I've tried two different terminal emulators with the same result.

Thanks,
Bob

Re: NACK

I think the problem might be the LF. You only need a CR.

If you are using hyperterm go to settings, then ascii settings and make sure that "send line ends with line feeds" is NOT checked and see if that helps.

If you are using another terminal program then look for something similar.

Re: NACK
Thanks, Ringo!

Both terminal programs that I was using appended a <LF> after the <CR>.  Luckily there was a gui option that let me change that behavior and I can now work with this board as expected.
