I’m having a problem communicating with my Serializer. It is a WL V2.0 which I bought several months ago but could not get to echo responses back in HyperTerminal. At the time I was using Vista with a public version of HyperTerminal so I thought it was a configuration issue with my PC. Today I tried again with a PC using XP but had the same problem.
My setup:
Serializer WL v2.0 using the serial port
COM1 set up as instructed in the manual
Power: 12 VDC 800mA
The power light is lit and the 2 other LEDs are blinking. I can send commands to the board and it will do what I tell it. For example, I can send the commands to change the blink rate of the 2 LEDs or send the reset command but nothing gets echoed back. I tried to hook up to update the firmware but again no echo back so I can’t see what is happening.
Any suggestions?
Mark
Hey Mark,
Check to make sure that there is a jumper installed on the two jumper pins labeled 'Remove to use TTL Serial'. If that is installed, then let us know, and we'll debug your problem from there.
Best Regards,
Jason,
Thanks for the quick reply. The jumper that you mentioned is in place.
We sent you a new RS-232 module out via 2-3 Day USPS Priority. You should have it by Saturday!
Best Regards!
Much thanks!
