Voltage requlator

Offtopic as I couldn't find a best fit - but will this thing support powering multiple devices? I'm curious if this will solve my power dillema in my jeep where I only have one lighter output but need to charge or sustain power to 3 devices (sometimes 4) - All USB. (zune, cellphone, bluetooth gps). I'd prefer to hardwire at least the BT GPS and a Modified Zune dock for this.

Re: Voltage requlator

It is not the number of devices, but the total current that matters. This regulator can supply up to 2.5A of current. You would have to find out what the current needs of each device is and total them up. If it is 3.5A or less then t is not a problem.

Theorectically, USb devices can only draw .5A, so 4 devices would only be 2A, but check the docs on you devices to be sure they don;t violate the USB spec.

Hope this help.
