20A Dual H-Bridge Controller Board
|
|
This is a very beefy dual 20 Amp h-bridge controller board for use with larger robot motors.
You just need to provide a +5V PWM and direction signal for each h-bridge to control it.
This board is available with either a standard .1 inch header, or an RJ11 connector (compatible with the main controller board from Leafproject.org).
We've added a couple of extra RJ11 connectors just for the leaf guys that can be used to connect wheel encoders. There are .1 headers for encoder inputs, and an RJ11 to go from this board to the leaf micro.
There is a power led as well as 2 bicolor leds on each H-bridge to give you a visual indication of status.
This driver board requires between 12V and 24V. Each H-bridge also contains a current sensor (see specs).

H-Bridge Specifications
- Rated Current: 20A (15-20A operation needs heatsinks)
- PWM Signal: +5V
- Direction Signal: +5V
- Onboard 12V regulator
- Supply Voltage: 12-24V
- Power LED (red)
- Bi-Color LEDs (green/red) light up as a percentage of PWM levels
- PWM Inputs available with 0.100 (2.54mm) headers or with RJ11 connectors for the Leaf Project
- Current Sensing capabilities (see note below)
- Motor and Supply Power Screw Terminals
- Four mounting holes
Current Sensing Notes:
Each H-bridge contains a current sensor. The current production boards have the ACS704ELC-015 from http://allegromicro.com. These sensors are good up to 15A.
As soon as the 706 versions are available we'll start using those, which are good up to 20A. There is a 2 pin header next to each motor connection so you can use the current sensor if you wish.
