Hi:

I have the orginal Traxster and would like to upgrade to the Traxster II.

What parts can be reused and are the remaining parts available separately?

Thanks,

Lawrence

Lawrence,

A Traxster upgrade is not a bad idea.  If you like, I can work up a price.  The motors/encoders, tracks, and front drive hubs will port over, but you will need new rear hubs/axles, chassis, and belly pan.

The old drive disks will work too, but I would suggest getting the new ones, as they have a very smooth finish (reduces noise and friction losses quite a bit), and are easier to assemble to the hubs (larger tolerances).

Best Regards!

Lawrence,

It looks like we'll be able to offer a Traxster II upgrade for $74.95, which will include the following new parts:

  1. Powder Coated Orange Chassis
  2. Powder Coated Gray Belly Pan
  3. Powder Coated Drive Disks (8)
  4. New Aluminum rear axles
  5. Bolts/Nuts for Drive Disks and Rear Axles

Everything else can be ported over (motors, tracks, hubs).

Best Regards!
