Hi every one,

How are you? I want to use Parallax Servo Controller (PSC) with Serializer to add more servos. But I don't know how to use it!

Parallax Servo Controller(PSC) need serial date in this format (PSC,Baud,["!SC",ServoAddress,Ramp,servoPosition.LOWBYTE,servoPosition.HIGHBYTE, CR])

But how can I use Serializer’s I/O port to send Serial data to PSC?

For more information about Parallax Servo Controller go to http://www.parallax.com/Store/Accessories/MotorServoControllers/tabid/160/CategoryID/35/List/0/Level/a/ProductID/376/Default.aspx?SortField=ProductName%2cProductName

Thank you very much.

hello Mohammad Al-Shamsi,
Your question has been brought up several times on this forum
for different products that use a serial port for control.
The short answer is No it can't. The Serializers serial port is
only for control of the serializer. The Serializer can talk to external
controllers through I2C (see documentation), this is how it works
with the RoboticsConnection I/O Wizard.
If you intend to use both the Serializer and your Parallax device
you will need two serial ports on your main computer.

I hope this helps clear things up..

Mohammed,

Don is correct.  The serial port on the Serializer is used solely to communicate with it, and not to communication with peripheral serial devices.
