| For those customers wishing to use blinders on their I2C Line Following Sensors (v2.0), here is a dimensioned drawing for making your own. You need 4 of them, and they will slide in between each of the 5 ir emitter/receiver sensor pairs. We're going to start including them w/ the sensors, but until they arrive, you can make your own. This basically prevents ir light from adjacent sensors from affecting ir receivers. Be sure to use material that is opaque to infrared light. Plastic that's between 0.050" and 0.063" thick, such as black ABS should work fine. Do not use metal, as it will damage the line following circuit board when you slide the blinders on. Are these blinds available now and if so, are they available to buy without having to purchase the line follower? I just got a Line Wizard V2.0 and I've stuck some small plastic pieces of cable tie in between the sensor pairs. Seems to work - just wondering if I should make it more permanent with some super glue or obtain the blinds you have?

We are making a firmware and hardware change, so that the blinder's will no longer be needed. The updated line followers should be out by the end of January. Best Regards,

Here's my simple solution. Basically, I got some heat shrink tube and wrapped electrical tape once around it. Then cut it into small lengths and then placed them on detectors. They seem to fit snugly (although, I suppose I could add a dab of glue).
This isn't the most elegant solution but I found this sensor unusable without some kind of blinker.
My carpet is beige and using black electrical tape as the line seems to work ( I knocked up a lego rover controlled by the serializer to test it)
