Hi, i recently downloaded the aplication installer to use the .exe programs.

I have found that it works fine with the USB module but when i use the bluetooth one the correct port is there but is has a funny letter after it.

For example, when i use bluetooth with COM12 in the example app this time it comes up as COM12a. When i connect it says COM12a does not exist :S

I can use COM12 to communicate usually and can change the port name to COM12 manually in the VS2008solutions.

Just wondering if any light can be shed, cheers.

Hi Jasey,

Hmmm.  This is a new one.  I have never heard of COM ports labeled that way.  I just did a quick google search, which didn't turn up much of anything.  So, I don't think I'll be much help.

One thing that I would try is to unpair and uninstall the Bluetooth module from your windows configuration.  Then, re-pair it.  Hopefull, that will enumerate it under a proper COM port, and you'll be good to go.

Also, feel free to post what you find.  I'd be interested to hear!

BTW, I deleted that wanker spammer...It amazes me that there are such people in this world.
