Hello all,

I am brand new to the robotics hobby, but have spent several years involved in racing RC cars.  I was wondering if a 7.4V 4000mah battery would be able to safely power this robot?  Would I need a voltage regulator in line, or will the Serializer handle that?

Thanks much,

Dave

Hello Dave,
Welcome aboard.. the motors on the two RoboticsConnection chassis
are 7.4vDC BUT look at the specs on the Serializer board. All the info is
there. Your 4000ma simply means it will run twice as long as 2000ma.
But 7.4vDC looks to be below the lower limits of full operation of the
Serializer without an added external motor controller ( h-bridge ).
